Another story that is too weird to believe.

A man giving a lecture about heart disease actually helped save a man who had a heart attack during the lecture.

Dr. William Phillips, a cardiologist from Maine, was giving a lecture about heart disease when he and others in the audience were interrupted by a man who was actually having a heart attack. The quick thinking doctor and a team of nurses rushed to the mans side and are credited with saving his life.

The man was lucky the nurses and doctor were ready and able as he went on to care and is now doing fine. Dr. Phillips was able to finish his lecture after administering the help the man needed.

Its a close call when a heart attack strikes. You need to have the right people around as you only have minutes to get attention. Nowadays the survival rate from heart attacks is exceptionally high as compared to just 10 years ago. In the old days, heart attacks could be fatal, but nowadays with improved treatments, people can be treated and released in just days.

Luckily for this guy, he had a heart attack where there was a room full of doctors and nurses!
